🏁 Flexible Race Tracking

Two Ways to Track Your Race

👆

Manual Button Tracking

Perfect for smaller events or as a backup method. Simply press a button when a participant crosses the finish line.

How it works:

  1. 1. Start the race timer
  2. 2. As participants cross the line, click their name/number in the system
  3. 3. Finish times are automatically recorded with millisecond precision
Best for: Small events, community races, training sessions
📱

OCR Bib Scanner

Experimental

Use your smartphone camera to automatically read participant bib numbers. Still being improved — works best with large, high-contrast numbers in good lighting conditions.

How it works:

  1. 1. Print large, high-contrast bib numbers for each participant
  2. 2. Position camera 5 meters from finish line with 2-3x zoom
  3. 3. Camera tries to read numbers and record times automatically
We recommend manual tracking as your primary method for now

OCR Bib Scanning (experimental)

We're working on camera-based bib number detection using OCR technology. The feature is available to try, but results vary depending on lighting and bib size. Manual button tracking is the reliable method for now.

  • Requires good lighting and large bib numbers
  • Accuracy not yet reliable enough for solo use
  • Runs entirely in the browser — no app needed

OCR reads bib numbers automatically

Still being improved — try it out!
